MEDINA 1st training session

A training session was organized at the Yarmouk University (Jordan) from the 14th to the 18th of October, within the activities of the MEDINA project.


16th Rencontres Sabéennes

The 16th Rencontres Sabéennes, the annual conference about south-Arabian studies, was organized in Pisa from the 6th to the 9th June by the Dept. of Historical Sciences of the Ancient World under the direction of Alessandra Avanzini.


DASI 1st training course

The first DASI training course was organized in Pisa from the 21st to the 25th of May 2012.


Archaeometallurgical studies at Salut

Numerous metal finds were retrieved during the excavations at Salut, ranging from farming tools to the bronze ladles and cauldron found in 2007 and 2005.


Oman, the Land of Sindbad the Sailor: the exhibition

Oman is still a relatively unknown country to most people in the West. The exhibition “Oman, the Land of Sindbad the Sailor”, which has been on display from June 6th to July 7th 2012 at the Museo Nazionale di San Matteo (Pisa, Italy) shed light on aspects of the history and culture of Oman able to strike the imagination and stimulate the interest of visitors.
