Applications invited at KCHR

International Fellowships in Pattanam Archaeology Research and KCHR Fellowships/ Internship/Guideship

The Kerala Council for Historical Research is an autonoumous research centre of the University of Kerala having bilateral academic and exchange agreements with various universities and research institutes in India and abroad.


For the year 2014-'15 the KCHR offers several positions:

- internships to graduate, post-graduate and MPhil students from any part of the world interested in undertaking short term assignments of their interest in social science disciplines. Internships are available in major research projects of KCHR such as Pattanam Archaeological Research. Students will be involved into excavations, community archaeology, documentation and storage of artifacts, ethno-archaeology documentation, Pattanam Anthropology and flora and fauna of Pattanam;

- PhD fellowships, open to research scholars to pursue PhD programme in any of the Indian Universities or at KCHR on themes related to Kerala society and history or social science theories;

- fellowships to revise Ph.D. thesis for publication;

- fellowships to design Post-Doctoral Research theme on any aspects of Kerala society/history or social science theory;

- three-month short term Residence Fellowships to scholars;- research guidance / supervisorship.
