EAGLE 2014 International Conference

Paris, École Normale Supérieure and Collège de France Chaire Religion, September 29 - October 1, 2014

The application of ICT in the fields of epigraphy and edition of texts are the main topics of the EAGLE 2014 International Conference on Information Technologies for Epigraphy and Digital Cultural Heritage in Ancient World.

The event is organized by EAGLE, the Europen network aiming at creating an e-library for Digital Epigraphy of unprecedented scale and quality for ingestion to Europeana.

The conference is dedicated to researchers, archivists, industry professionals, museum curators and others seeking to create a forum in which individuals and institutions can find a place to collaborate in the field of digital editions.

DASI project will attend the conference. DASI presentation will focus on challenges and opportunities faced while digitizing pre-Islamic Arabian epigraphies, in particular, the content model and the harmonization of lists of controlled.
