A new corpus of inscriptions in DASI

A new corpus including the Early Sabaic inscriptions from Ethiopia is published in DASI

DASI archive presents a new epigraphic corpus, which gathers the published Early Sabaic inscriptions from Ethiopia.

The texts come from a territory comprising the South of Eritrea and the North of Ethiopia (Tigray region), where Saba extended its influence in the first half of the I millennium BC.

This documentation presents some peculiar features, diverging from canonical Early Sabean, probably due to the local linguistic substratum.

The publication of the corpus in DASI is in progress. Up to present, nearly 50 Early Sabaic inscriptions from Ethiopia are available for consultation on DASI.
