Kerala Council for Historical Research

The cooperation established between the Arabia Antica research group and the Kerala Council for Historical Research has resulted in a memorandum of understanding between the KCHR itself and the University of Pisa.
Indeed Arabia Antica and the KCHR, an autonoumous research centre of the University of Kerala, are jointly investigating the trade routes in the Indian ocean, since Indian pottery assemblages have been found both in Pattanam and Khor Rori and South Arabian pottery has been discovered in Pattanam.
The memorandum is aimed at strenghtening the cooperation between the two institutions by common training programmes.
The programmes will include exchange of teachers, researches, technical staff and undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students.
Joint research projects will be carried on as well as dissemination activites, such as conferences and publications.
