Arabia Felix. I Musei dello Yemen ne svelano la storia

The documentary is thought, within the project CASIS, in order to value and promote the Yemeni museums and cultural heritage.
The idea, derived from a suggestion of the honorary consul of Yemen in Italy, professor Guido Bastianelli, is to tell the public the rich and fascinating culture of ancient south Arabia through museums, such privileged places.
The film lasts about twenty minutes. It will be presented to the 2010 edition of the Venetia Film Festival: “Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica”.
The video shootings were made during the July mission by Flavio Fazzuoli and Elvira Todaro, under the scientific coordination of Alessia Prioletta.
The CASIS team has filmed the most important Yemeni museums: the National Museum of Sana and of Aden, the museums of Dhamar, Ibb and Zafar.
A first presentation of the video promo was done in Florence, at the Regione Toscana (October 2009), in the occasion of the signature of the economic-cultural cooperation agreement between Regione Toscana and Aden Governorate, signed by the President of the Regional Council Riccardo Nencini and by the governor of Aden, Adnan O.M. Algfri.
