Museum of the Frankincense Land

The Museum of the Frankincense Land has been inaugurated in 2007, under the auspices of H.E. Abdul Aziz Al Rowas, Advisor to His Majesty the Sultan for Cultural Affairs.
The Museum, directed by Ali Al Kathiri, wants to offer a panoramic access to the history of Oman and its regions through the different ages.
It is organized in two main sections: the history hall where it is possible to go over the history of the country thanks to the archaeological findings and illustrative panels and the maritime hall containing models of Omani boats in different scale, explaining the familiarity of the Omani people with the sea.
